Hardware

This is the some of the equipment I have in my garage/workshop.  I’m a sucker for tools and gadgets, so I’ve been accumulating this stuff for years.

The Lair

Oscilloscopes

  • Agilent DSO1002A 60MHz digital storage scope (unboxing photos) .
  • Pintek PS-201 20MHz Analog Scope.

Soldering

  • Weller WD1 Solder station with lots of tips.
  • RS DS50 Digital Soldering Station (it annoys me, that’s why I bought the Weller).
  • Dremel VersaTip gas soldering iron.  Also has a hot air attachment which is useful for SMD work, if you are CAREFUL.
  • Antex 18W handheld iron.

Power Supplies

  • TTi EL302RT Triple Output 30V 2A supply (my review of it).
  • Old PC power supply.

Multimeters

  • Fluke 87-V.
  • UNI-T UT50A.  Very nice meter my Dad bought me for Christmas.
  • Major Tech MT-885.  My first digital meter.
  • A couple of cheap Chinese throwaways.

Misc

  • Dremel 300 series multitool and drill press.
  • Assortment of  spanners, screwdrivers, tweezers, etc…
